No rule changes in 2010 Ecclestone admits

New teams’ “budgets not sufficient” – Ecclestone

[SinglePic not found]Bernie Ecclestone has said the budgets the new Formula One teams are working with are not sufficient to allow them to have a chance of being competitive.

Virgin and HRT drew up their business plans on the assumption there would be a £40 million budget cap but after the leading teams threatened a breakaway, the FIA climbed down. Button rubbishes Ecclestone’s shortcut idea

Jenson Button is against Bernie Ecclestone’s idea to introduce shortcuts at grand prix to spice up the racing.

Ecclestone repeats warning on new teams

Bernie Ecclestone has again warned that he believes at least two of Formula One’s new teams are not likely to make their debuts as scheduled in March.

Bernie Ecclestone tips Michael Schumacher for the title

Bernie Ecclestone has backed Michael Schumacher for the 2010 championship after the German announced his return to Formula One earlier this week.

Mercedes confirmed Schumacher’s comeback on Wednesday, which will see him paired with Nico Rosberg in an all-German team. In an interview with Formula One’s official website, Ecclestone was confident Schumacher would be a threat for the title.

Ecclestone confirms Rome Grand Prix deal

Bernie Ecclestone has confirmed he has signed a seven-year deal for a street race in Rome which is likely to start in 2012.

The contract has an option for a further five years and Ecclestone boasted about the track layout in The Times, explaining it will take cars close to the Vatican. “Every time there is an overtaking manoeuvre, we’re going to put the black smoke up.”
